Does GTA 6 Have Online Multiplayer at Launch?

Rockstar has not announced a GTA 6 version of GTA Online. There is no roadmap for multiplayer modes and no timetable for when, or whether, that side of the series connects to the new world. This is one of the biggest open questions about the game.
The GTA+ detail that confuses people
Digital pre-orders include a free month of GTA+, and GTA+ is the subscription tied to GTA Online. Some coverage has read this as evidence that GTA 6 Online exists at launch. It is not evidence — GTA+ already applies to the existing GTA Online in GTA V, which is the straightforward reading.
Why it matters
In GTA V, the online mode is where the business and money systems live, and where most players spent most of their hours. Whether GTA 6 ships with an equivalent at launch, later, or in a different shape changes what the game is for a large part of the audience. We will update this page when Rockstar says something concrete, and not before.
