GTA 6 File Size: Rockstar Has Not Published One
The short answer
Rockstar has not published a file size for GTA 6. As of late September 2026 there is no official GB figure for PS5 or Xbox Series X|S. Every number you see in a headline is an estimate made by someone outside Rockstar.
What is official
Two things are confirmed that affect your storage. Pre-loading opens on November 12, 2026, a week before launch, so the download can finish before release day. Where the numbers come from
GamesRadar+ published an estimate of at least 120–130 GB, based on GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 sitting around 100–110 GB today. That is a guess from comparison, and they say so. Larger figures circulating on social media and aggregator sites have no Rockstar source behind them. None of these numbers are wrong to discuss; they are wrong to present as fact.
What is still unconfirmed
The install size on each console, the size of a day-one patch, and whether the two platforms differ. When the figure appears on the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store listing, or Rockstar publishes it, this page will carry it with the source. Until then, the honest answer is that the number does not exist publicly.
